The name Pesky Pup was inspired by the life-changing experience of adopting our own pesky pup, Lucky. Don't let his picture fool you — that sweet face entered our household as a nine-month-old, hundred pound monster. Such was his level of disobedience and destruction that he was quickly dubbed "Lucifer" by our family and friends!

It was through our efforts to help Lucky become the well-behaved angel he is today that we were introduced to the many great dog toys, treats and supplies we offer on our web site today. And it was in our struggle to find special gifts for the extraordinary dogs and dog people that helped us along the way that we came up with the idea of putting them in gift baskets that appeal to both dogs and humans!

Our goal is to promote responsible dog ownership and encourage people to spend more time training and interacting with their pets and, as a result, being active in the world around them. At the same time, we understand that, like us, people sometimes have to leave their pets at home. So in addition to our interactive toys, we also carry an array of self-stimulating independent dog toys to keep them from getting bored — and potentially destructive! Finally, whenever possible we like to offer products that are environmentally friendly and made from recycled or recyclable materials.

Ultimately, we hope to use Pesky Pup to help others. We believe strongly in supporting local shelters and rescue groups and hope Pesky Pup will allow us to expand our efforts to groups outside our immediate area.
